Chinese Ambassador to Namibia Zhao Weiping Hosts Press Meeting

On July 28, Chinese Ambassador Zhao Weiping held his first press meeting of 2026 at the Embassy, briefing the local media on the successful state visit to China by H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, introducing Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building, and answering questions from the media. A total of 25 journalists from 16 media agencies attended the event.

Ambassador Zhao noted that President Xi Jinping and President Ndaitwah jointly decided to elevate bilateral relations to a China-Namibia community with a shared future for the new era and reached important consensus on advancing bilateral cooperation. Under the strategic guidance of the two Presidents, China-Namibia relations enjoy a stronger political foundation, more dynamic practical cooperation, closer international coordination, and more vibrant people-to-people exchanges. The bilateral relations will reach a new level and deliver greater benefits to the two peoples.

Ambassador Zhao pointed out that Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building provides the fundamental guarantee for advancing full and rigorous Party self-governance and Chinese modernization. It also provides Chinese propositions and solutions for world political development and global governance. He encouraged Namibian friends to learn more about this important thought and, through it, they will know that the Communist Party of China is a political party dedicated to serving the Chinese people.
